BUT LET'S START AT THE BEGINNING
We have to go back to 2014, to the time when chef Luc Salsedo, owner of a restaurant in Nice, improvised small chips with what was left of socca, the famous pancake made from chickpea flour. Because for him, nothing is lost, everything is transformed! The feedback from the first customers, who appreciated the originality of the product, clearly proved him right. He will therefore work, refine, and test his recipe for many months. After numerous tests, the right formula was finally found in 2014. That's when the product was marketed under the Socca Chips® brand. The crisp with an authentic socca flavor, original, different, made from 100% natural ingredients. Success is immediate. Luc Salsedo knew that this product, unique in the French aperitif landscape, had its place. Now distributed in more than 1,000 points of sale, SoccaChips® allows you to rediscover the Mediterranean taste of socca, this superb specialty from the Riviera, even from Nice! This enthusiasm will even give the chef new ideas. In 2019, he launched a new product, SoccApéro®, to allow everyone to make socca at home!

Initially a family business, it now employs dozens of people and benefits from a specifically dedicated production laboratory, a few km from Nice. Above all, it took us on a very rich human adventure with our consumers. Exchange and sharing are the priorities of Luc Salsedo and his teams. We want to build this story together…

THE FRUIT OF TEAMWORK
Christine Salsedo, his wife, who worked in numerous luxury hotels as maître d'hôtel at the Chèvre d'Or, the Château Saint Martin, and even at the Loews in Monaco . Then alongside her husband for 13 years as room director. She directs and supervises the evolution and development of the company and is involved in brand protection as well as commercial strategy.
Fabienne Rigourd who has been with them since the start of the adventure. Associated with Luc and Christine, Fabienne is responsible for marketing, digital and communication. With more than 20 years of experience, notably as marketing director at Château de la Chèvre d'Or, where she met Luc and Christine, she believed in the project from the first tasting of the chips in 2014 when she celebrated his birthday at the “Luc Salsedo” restaurant with his family. And the adventure continues today with more than 15 employees committed and determined to bring you the inimitable taste of Nice socca - but not only - on your tables!
